Purpose
The purpose of this Violence in the Workplace Policy is to establish a safe and respectful work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors at Ruxley Integrated Global Services Limited. This policy aims to prevent and address incidents of workplace violence, ensuring that all individuals feel safe and supported while at work.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, visitors, and any individuals interacting with Ruxley Integrated Global Services Limited on company premises or during company-related activities.
Policy Statement “Ruxley is committed to providing a workplace free from violence, harassment, and intimidation. We recognize that workplace violence can take many forms, including physical assault, threats, verbal abuse, and harassment. This policy prohibits any form of violence and outlines our commitment to addressing and preventing such incidents.”
Definitions
- Workplace Violence: Any act of aggression, threatening behavior, or physical assault occurring in the workplace, including verbal threats, intimidation, harassment, or any other disruptive behavior that creates a hostile work environment.
- Employees: All personnel employed by Ruxley, including full-time, part-time, and temporary staff, as well as contractors and consultants.
Prohibited Conduct
Ruxley prohibits any form of violence in the workplace, including but not limited to:
- Physical violence, such as hitting, pushing, or any other form of assault.
- Threatening behavior, including verbal threats, intimidation, or any conduct that creates fear of harm.
- Harassment or bullying, including unwelcome comments, gestures, or any actions that create a hostile work environment.
- Possession of weapons on company premises, unless authorized by law or specific company policy.
Reporting Procedures
- Immediate Reporting: Employees must report any incidents of workplace violence or threats immediately to their supervisor or the Human Resources (HR) department. In cases of imminent danger, employees should contact law enforcement authorities first.
- Confidentiality: All reports will be handled with confidentiality and sensitivity, ensuring that the privacy of all parties involved is respected.
Response and Investigation
- Investigation: Ruxley will promptly investigate all reports of workplace violence to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
- Disciplinary Action: Employees found to have engaged in violent behavior or violated this policy may face disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Support and Resources
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Ruxley will provide access to support services, including counseling and resources, to employees affected by workplace violence.
- Training and Awareness: Ruxley will offer training programs to promote awareness of workplace violence and provide strategies for prevention and conflict resolution.
Prevention Measures
- Risk Assessment: Ruxley will conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards related to workplace violence and implement preventive measures as needed.
- Communication: Employees are encouraged to communicate openly about any concerns related to workplace safety and to participate in creating a safe working environment.
Policy Review
This Violence in the Workplace Policy will be reviewed annually or as needed to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Updates will be communicated to all employees.
