Purpose.
The purpose of this Driving Policy is to establish guidelines and expectations for employees who operate vehicles on behalf of Ruxley Integrated Global Services Limited. This policy aims to ensure the safety of employees, clients, and the public while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Scope
This policy applies to all employees of Ruxley Integrated Global Services Limited who are required to drive company vehicles or personal vehicles for work-related purposes.
Policy Statement “Ruxley is committed to ensuring safe driving practices and expects all employees to prioritize safety when operating vehicles. Employees must comply with all traffic laws and regulations and follow the guidelines set forth in this policy.”
Employee Responsibilities
Valid License: Employees must possess a valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated. Employees are required to notify their supervisor immediately if their license is suspended or revoked.
Vehicle Maintenance: Employees are responsible for ensuring that any vehicle they operate is in safe working condition. This includes regular maintenance, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and ensuring all lights and signals are functioning.
Safety Practices: Employees must:
- Wear seat belts at all times.
- Adhere to speed limits and all traffic regulations.
- Avoid distractions while driving, including using mobile devices unless equipped with hands-free technology.
- Not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substances that could impair driving ability.
Accident Reporting: In the event of an accident, employees must:
- Ensure safety first, providing assistance to injured parties if needed.
- Notify local authorities and Ruxley management immediately.
- Complete an accident report and submit it to their supervisor as soon as possible.
Use of Personal Vehicles
– Employees who use their personal vehicles for work-related purposes must maintain valid insurance coverage and ensure that the vehicle is in good working condition.
– Reimbursement for mileage and expenses incurred while using a personal vehicle for business purposes will be governed by Ruxley’s expense reimbursement policy.
Disciplinary Actions
Failure to comply with this Driving Policy may result in disciplinary action, which can include suspension of driving privileges, reprimands, or termination of employment, depending on the severity of the violation
Training and Awareness
Ruxley will provide training to employees on safe driving practices, defensive driving techniques, and the importance of vehicle maintenance. Regular reminders and updates will be communicated to reinforce safe driving behaviors
Policy Review
This Driving Policy will be reviewed annually or as needed to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Updates will be communicated to all employees
