Purpose
The purpose of this *No Smoking Policy* is to provide a healthy and safe environment for all employees, contractors, clients, and visitors by eliminating the exposure to tobacco smoke and promoting a smoke-free workplace. This policy aligns with Ruxley Integrated Global Services Limited’s commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
Scope
This policy applies to:
– All employees, contractors, visitors, and any other persons on Ruxley Integrated Global Services Limited premises, worksites, and vehicles.
– All Ruxley-owned or leased facilities, including offices, construction sites, warehouses, workshops, and any other areas where work is carried out.
Smoking Prohibited
Smoking, including the use of tobacco products (such as cigarettes, cigars, and pipes) and electronic smoking devices (such as e-cigarettes or vapes), is strictly prohibited in the following areas:
– Inside all company buildings and enclosed spaces.
– Ruxley company vehicles and machinery.
– Construction sites and areas with flammable or hazardous materials.
– Meeting rooms, conference spaces, restrooms, stairwells, hallways, and common areas.
– Any outdoor area within *10 meters* of any building entrance, window, or ventilation system.
Designated Smoking Areas
To accommodate smokers while maintaining a safe environment, *designated smoking areas* will be provided in clearly marked, ventilated locations on Ruxley premises. These areas will be situated away from high-traffic zones and any hazardous operations. All employees and visitors are required to use these designated areas when smoking.
Responsibilities
– Employees: All employees are responsible for complying with this No Smoking Policy. They must refrain from smoking in prohibited areas and ensure that they smoke only in designated smoking zones.
– Supervisors and Managers: Supervisors and managers are responsible for ensuring that employees and visitors adhere to the policy. They must also handle any violations in accordance with company procedures.
– Visitors and Contractors: Visitors and contractors are also required to comply with the No Smoking Policy and use the designated areas provided.
Compliance and Enforcement
Non-compliance with this policy will be treated as a violation of Ruxley Integrated Global Services Limited’s health and safety standards. The following actions may be taken in case of violations:
– *First Violation*: Verbal warning from the supervisor or management.
– *Second Violation*: Written warning and mandatory safety training on company policies.
– *Repeated Violations*: Further disciplinary action, up to and including suspension or termination of employment for employees or removal from the premises for visitors and contractors.
Support for Smoking Cessation
Ruxley Integrated Global Services Limited encourages employees who smoke to seek assistance in quitting. Resources such as smoking cessation programs, counseling, and information on how to quit smoking will be made available to all employees.
Policy Review
This No Smoking Policy will be reviewed annually or as needed to ensure it remains up-to-date with changes in legislation or company requirements
