Purpose
The purpose of this Drug Abuse Policy is to establish a framework that promotes a safe, healthy, and productive work environment at Ruxley Integrated Global Services Limited. This policy aims to prevent and address drug abuse and its impact on our employees, operations, and overall workplace safety.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and visitors of Ruxley Integrated Global Services Limited, across all locations and job functions.
Policy Statement “Ruxley is committed to maintaining a workplace that is free from the effects of drug abuse. The company recognizes that drug abuse can have serious consequences for employee health, safety, productivity, and the company’s reputation. Therefore, we have implemented the following guidelines and procedures:.”
Prohibited Conduct
- The unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession, or use of controlled substances is strictly prohibited on company property, during work hours, or while conducting company business.
- Employees must not report to work or engage in work duties under the influence of drugs or any controlled substances that impair their ability to perform their job safely and effectively.
Definitions
- Drug Abuse: The illegal use of drugs or misuse of prescription medications, which can impair an individual’s ability to perform work safely and effectively.
- Controlled Substances: Drugs and chemicals whose manufacture, distribution, possession, and use are regulated by law.
Drug Testing
Ruxley may conduct drug testing under the following circumstances:
- Pre-Employment Testing: All prospective employees will be required to undergo drug screening as part of the hiring process.
- Reasonable Suspicion Testing: Employees may be required to submit to drug testing if there is reasonable suspicion that they are under the influence of drugs during work hours.
- Post-Accident Testing: Employees involved in workplace accidents may be required to undergo drug testing to determine whether drugs were a contributing factor.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Ruxley encourages employees struggling with drug abuse or addiction to seek help through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP provides confidential counseling, resources, and support for employees seeking treatment for substance abuse issues.
Confidentiality
All drug testing results and information related to an employee’s drug abuse treatment will be handled confidentially, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Disclosure of such information will be limited to individuals with a legitimate need to know.
Disciplinary Action
Violations of this policy will result in disciplinary action, which may include:
- Mandatory participation in a rehabilitation program.
- Suspension or termination of employment, depending on the severity of the violation.
Responsibilities
- Employees: All employees are responsible for understanding and complying with this policy. They are encouraged to report any suspected drug abuse or violations of this policy to their supervisor or HR.
- Supervisors and Managers: Supervisors and managers are responsible for enforcing this policy, monitoring employee behavior, and addressing any concerns regarding drug abuse in the workplace.
Policy Review
This Drug Abuse Policy will be reviewed annually or as needed to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices. Updates will be communicated to all employees.
